Sometimes Nurture is Nature.

In the “nature versus nurture” debate, it’s worth noting that how each person turns out is due to an interaction of nature with nurture, and not one or other.

Also, we should bear in mind that the effect of the environment on an individual (nurture) is in part determined by his genetic endownment (nature). For example, a child has an inborn desire to bond with his mother, which makes it easier for his mother to socialize him. And the way she socializes him will be in part determined by her own genetic endowment. Partly that will be determined by how she was socialized, which will in turn be due in part to her own genetic endowment and that of her mother.
